GSBC MAKES DISCIPLES THAT MAKE DISCIPLES
"Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah." - Acts 5:42
Here at Government Street, we not only value the gathering of the church community in a large group setting but also the gathering of small groups. One of the most effective ways our church disciples new and seasoned believers is through our Sunday morning bible study classes - what we refer to as Sunday School. We have classes from birth to senior adults that meet each Sunday morning at 9am. We would love for you to join us this Sunday and let us help connect you with the class that is right for you.
Jesus came near and said to them, "All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:18-20
Monday nights, our ladies gather to study the word of God at 5:30pm in the Hospitality Room.
Bi-weekly on Tuesday mornings, our senior adults, both men and women, gather in the Hospitality Room for a time of hymn singing at 9:30am and bible study at 10:00am, followed by a light lunch.
Wednesday nights, Pastor Scotty leads our men and women through a study of God's word at 6:00pm in the Sanctuary. The bible study is followed by a time of prayer. We believe that prayer is not just an addition to the work of a Christian, but it is the work of a Christian.
